Bengaluru Court Denies Bail to Actors Darshan and Pavithra Gowda in High-Profile Murder Case
October 14, 2024: In a significant legal development, a Bengaluru Sessions Court has denied bail to prominent actors Darshan and Pavithra Gowda, who are among the accused in the high-profile murder case of Renukaswamy. The court's decision, delivered on Monday, also rejected bail pleas for two other accused, Nagaraj and Lakshman, while granting bail to Ravishankar and Deepak.
The case has drawn considerable media attention, stemming from the tragic killing of Renukaswamy, a devoted fan of Darshan. According to the police chargesheet, the murder was allegedly motivated by derogatory comments Renukaswamy made about Pavithra Gowda on social media. Reports indicate that Gowda had reportedly incited Darshan and others to retaliate against Renukaswamy for sending her obscene messages.
The ruling underscores the serious nature of the allegations facing the actors, who were arrested alongside several other individuals in connection with the murder. As the investigation continues, the case is likely to remain a focal point in both legal circles and popular media.
