November 7, 2024: After Salman Khan, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has become the latest Celebrity to receive a threatening call. The threat was issued by an unidentified caller who demanded a large ransom in exchange for the actor's safety.

The incident occurred on Thursday, when a case was filed at the Bandra Police Station in Mumbai. Following the threat, authorities traced the call to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Investigators are now on the lookout for a man named Faizan Khan, whose phone number was reportedly used to make the threatening call. Local police in Raipur have been informed and have joined forces with Mumbai authorities to track down the suspect.

According to the sources, the caller allegedly threatened to harm Shah Rukh Khan unless a hefty ransom of several crores was paid. The nature of the threat and the large sum demanded have raised concerns over the safety of the Bollywood icon.

This is not the first time Shah Rukh Khan has been targeted. In October 2023, the actor received another death threat that led to a significant boost in his security. Since then, his protection has been upgraded to the Y+ category, which includes six armed personnel who accompany the actor at all times, replacing the earlier security detail of just two armed guards.

The timing of the threat comes just days after fellow Bollywood star Salman Khan also received a death threat, allegedly from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang, which has a longstanding grudge against the actor due to his alleged involvement in the killing of a blackbuck, issued a similar ransom demand for Salman Khan. The gang insisted that Salman either apologize for the incident or pay a sum of Rs 5 crore to avoid violence.

Salman Khan's security was also heightened after he received a specific death threat on October 30, which included a demand for Rs 2 crore. The threat led to the arrest of Bhikharam Jalaram Bishnoi, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in Karnataka earlier this week.
