Celtic’s fixtures for the 2024/25 season were officially released this morning as excitement builds ahead of the new campaign.

Every year, the Bhoys endure a demanding schedule, and things will be no different this time around.

38 league fixtures coupled with eight Champions League ties and two domestic cups means Brendan Rodgers’ squad must be more depthful than ever before.

Injuries and the like didn’t help last season, but after the Bhoys played in Europe, there was an occasional drop-off in their performance levels.

Rodgers will want to avoid such a happening this time around, but it may prove arduous given the schedule.

Indeed, following five out of Celtic’s eight initial Champions League ties in 2024/25, they will be away from home in the Premiership.

Trips to Ross County, Motherwell, Kilmarnock, Dundee, and Motherwell again follow matchdays two, three, four, six, and eight of the Champions League.

We already know how difficult it is to win titles while comPeting on the European stage, but that is no more evident than in Celtic’s timetable.

The Hoops will need to be consistent as ever throughout autumn and winter if they are to challenge on all fronts, heightening the need for Rodgers to be backed and the champions to get busy in the transfer market.
