After Coming from Military BTS Jin is Offering 1,000 Hugs at BTS FESTA 2024

Jin of BTS, the first member of the K-pop group to enlist in the Military, has unveiled his discharge date from service. The release of Jin also coincides with BTS FESTA 2024, where he will have a meet-and-greet session and give 1,000 hugs to BTS fans.

BTS Jin’s discharge date and details of in-person event at BTS FESTA 2024:

ARMYs, or fans of BTS, have been anticipating the discharge date of BTS Jin. The charming K-pop star will officially be discharged from Military service on 12 June 2024. He will meet fans in Seoul the very next day.

According to an announcement published by BIGHIT MUSIC via WEVERSE on 2 June, Jin will hold a special in-person event at the BTS FESTA 2024 on 13 June. This event comes a day after the BTS member‘s Military service discharge.

BTS FESTA also marks Jin’s first official event since his enlistment. He is also the first BTS member to complete his Military service.

The BTS FESTA is an annual celebratory event for fans commemorating the anniversary of BTS’s debut date. It will be held at Jamsil Arena in Jamsil Sports Complex, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The K-pop boyband will be celebrating their 11th anniversary this year.

Jin’s event for BTS FESTA will have two segments – ‘Jin’s Greetings’ and ‘Message from Jin: June 13 2024’

The first, ‘Jin’s Greetings’, will see the BTS member greeting fans in person with “light hugs” or “a handshake” to 1,000 fans, as “requested by the artist himself”. For this event, fans must take part in a raffle by purchasing any albums released after ‘Proof’ (including solo albums) through the Weverse Shop. This first segment will not be streamed online.

In addition, there will be a second event, ‘Message from Jin: June 13 2024’. For this event, Jin will “showcase various performances that ARMY wishes to see” and will last for an hour. This segment will also be streamed live through Weverse Live to fans with an ARMY Membership.

Besides the segments by Jin at BTS FESTA 2024, there’ll also be other activities for ARMYs to participate in like dedicated photo zones and upcycling workshops. BTS FESTA happens for a day only on 13 June from 11 am to 9 pm (KST).

Before BTS FESTA 2024, fellow BTS member Jungkook will drop a new song ‘Never Let Go’ on 7 June. According to a press release by HYBE, this song is “dedicated to [BTS] fans, ARMY, conveying a sincere message to never let go of each other.”

BTS member J-Hope will be the next member to complete his military service. He is expected to be discharged sometime in October 2024.
