LGBT Pride Month is in full swing around the world, with no shortage of offerings in Hong Kong. From themed brunches and parties to festivals and queer cultural programmes, here’s how you can make the most of the rainbow month in the city.

Melody’s weekend brunch turns rainbow in honour of Pride on 29 June. Guests are invited to wear their most extravagant rainbow outfits, while HK$50 per head from the event will be donated to Rainbow of Hong Kong, a non-profit organisation dedicated to advocating for LGBTQ+ rights in the city. For an all-inclusive price of HK$688, choose between hearty dishes like the Josper grilled Suckling Pig (quarter), the 350g Ribeye Steak with koffman fries and bearnaise sauce or the Roast Yellow Chicken. The price includes 2.5 hours of free-flow white wine, red wine and prosecco (upgrade to free-flow to Champagne for an additional HK$200).

From now until 12 August, Eaton Hong Kong is hosting a queer and disability arts and cultural programme themed ‘Eclipsed Bodies, Embraced Pride’. The programme promises to challenge societal norms, expectations and definitions of ‘perfect bodies’, and inspire minorities to embrace their unique experiences. In collaboration with local LGBTQ+ and disability organisations, Eaton will host a variety of panels, screenings, exhibitions, immersive workshops and performances.
