34-week run for My Neighbour Totoro involves the West Finish

34-week run for Studio Ghibli’s record-breaking My Neighbour Totoro involves the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London’s West Finish.

The manufacturing will run from Saturday 08 March – Sunday 02 November 2025, with a gap evening on Thursday 20 March. Precedence reserving opens on Monday 29 April, with public reserving from Friday 03 Could.

Tailored by Tom Morton-Smith (Oppenheimer) from Hayao Miyazaki’s celebrated 1988 animated function movie, the manufacturing is directed by Inconceivable Co-Founder, Phelim McDermott. Winner of six Olivier Awards and 5 WhatsOnStage Awards, My Neighbour Totoro broke the Barbican’s Field Workplace document for many tickets offered in a single day in April 2022, forward of its international premiere in October 2022. Following each crucial and viewers acclaim, the manufacturing returned to the Barbican Centre for a strictly restricted run in Autumn 2023. The manufacturing closed on the Barbican Centre in March 2024.

Satsuki and Mei’s mom has taken sick. To be able to be nearer to her whereas she recovers in a rural convalescent hospital, their father strikes the 2 sisters from their dwelling in a metropolis to the countryside. And although the countryside is gorgeous and the individuals pleasant, it’s arduous to not be scared when the wind rustles the timber at evening. Because the sisters discover their new environment, younger Mei encounters magical creatures and the traditional protector of the forest she calls “Totoro” – and they’re to be the women’ neighbours.​

Though Satsuki doesn’t imagine her little sister at first, they’re quickly each swept up in thrilling adventures with their new neighbours – transported to a long-forgotten realm of spirits, sprites, and pure marvel.
