1 NBA Team Takes Itself Out Of Bronny James Sweepstakes Hours Before Draft
The first night of the 2024 NBA Draft came and went with minimal surprises.
With no major twists, the big stories of the evening proved to be that the Los Angeles Lakers’ draft pick is actually a fan of their biggest rival and Reed Sheppard’s girlfriend’s wild photos leaking out.
With Night 2 on the horizon, all eyes now turn to Bronny James. The Lakers are desperately trying to unload one player to free up space for him, but they aren’t the only squad in the hunt for his services.
While multiple teams remained interested in adding Bronny, one effectively took itself out of the sweepstakes early Thursday morning.
Just hours before the second round was set to commence, the Golden State Warriors decided to trade the 52nd pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Lindy Waters III.
With Bronny slated to go somewhere in that range, there is now no scenario where he ends up in The Bay.
Golden State, meanwhile, has seemingly shifted its focus onto getting other things done this summer.
Where does that leave Bronny? Most likely he will end up going where everyone imagined he would go all along – to Los Angeles where will team up with his dad on the Lakers.
