X reacts as Real Madrid & Man City exchange screamers in quarter-final draw
Well, that was a bit of fun, wasn't it?
Real Madrid and Manchester City are two of football's premier sides, and anyone doubting their quality need only to watch the highlighs from Tuesday's enthralling 3-3 draw, which featured a mini Goal of the Season competition.
With the first entry, Bernardo Silva bent a devilishly clever free kick beyond Andriy Lunin just two minutes into the Game.
Ten minutes later, Eduardo Camavinga's strike from the edge of the box looked to be going wide before taking a wicked deflection off Ruben Dias en route to the back of the City net.
Fans were getting excited for two goals inside 12 minutes, but little did they know, things were only just getting started.
Almost immediately after, Madrid poked themselves in front.
Rodrygo burst in down the left and tried to roll the ball beyond Stefan Ortega, and another deflection, this time from Manuel Akanji, left the ball trickling slowly over the line.
The fun slowed down as both sides decided to reset and re-evaluate their approach. Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti clearly both opted for screamers as the appropriate course of action.
First up was Phil Foden, whose ferocious strike from the edge of the box went flying into Lunin's top corner.
And four minutes later, Josko Gvardiol decided to do the same.
The defender's strike went curling into the opposite corner to Foden's, handing City the advantage heading into the closing stages.
Perhaps the best was saved for last, however.
Vinicius Junior's cross found the onrushing Federico Valverde, who sliced across the ball with the perfect first-time volley that arrowed into Ortega's bottom corner.
There was nothing to separate the two sides when all was said and done, and fans were quick to praise the level of Entertainment they had seen here.
