After beating Italy’s Elisabetta Cocciaretto today, Coco Gauff is through to her fourth straight women’s singles quarter-final at the French Open - and is yet to drop a set.

Gauff on run of straight-sets wins in Paris

The No. 3 seed in Paris, Gauff took just an hour to sweep Cocciaretto aside on Court Philippe Chatrier, winning 6-1, 6-2. The 2022 French Open runner-up will now face Ons Jabeur in the last eight. No. 8 seed Jabeur beat Tauson 4-6, 4-6 in the fourth round today on Court Suzanne Lenglen.

Gauff vs Jabeur: start time, how to watch

Gauff’s quarter-final clash with Jabeur is expected to be played on Tuesday 4 June 2024, with the court and exact start time yet to be confirmed.

Viewers in the United States will be able to watch Tuesday’s French Open action on the Tennis Channel. If you don’t have cable, you can stream the action on the online platform fuboTV, which offers users a free trial.

Gauff vs Jabeur: head to head

The Floridian boasts a 4-2 record against Jabeur, having won her most recent meeting with the Tunisian. At the 2023 WTA Finals late last year, Gauff stormed to a comprehensive victory in the group stage in Cancún, thrashing Jabeur 6-1, 6-0.

The pair also met at the French Open three years ago - and Gauff triumphed in straight sets in that clash, too. Then aged just 17, she prevailed 6-3, 6-1 to become the youngest grand slam quarter-finalist since Nicole Vaidisova 15 years earlier.

What are the odds on Gauff winning the French Open?

Gauff is the fourth favourite to win this year’s French Open women’s singles title, according to betting info collected by Oddschecker. The 20-year-old is rated at +1000 to lift the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen for the first time in her career, behind Elena Rybakina (+950), Aryna Sabalenka (+500) and frontrunner Iga Swiatek (-200).

The back-to-back defending champion at Roland Garros, Swiatek raced into the quarter-finals today with the shortest match of her career. The No. 1 seed thumped Anastasia Potapova 6-0, 6-0 in a mere 40 minutes.
