Expectation in the city of Boston is sky high as the Celtics are faced with a golden opportunity to win make the 2024 Championship and make basketball history in the process as they face Dallas Mavericks in the final.

Both the LA Lakers and the Boston Celtics have won a the NBA Championship a record 17 times with a Boston win against Dallas affording Celtics fans bragging rights in claiming that they are the most successful basketball team in NBA History.

The Celtics were the dominant force in the 80s, winning the championship three times but have not won a trophy since 2007-08 and the last time the team from Beantown reached the finals was back in 2022 when they were pitted against Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors were in uNFLappable form inspired by the heroics of Steph Curry and won the series in six Games despite the Celtics taking a 2-1 lead.

The No.2 Eastern seeds, had a tricky path to the finals and needed seven games to see off the Bucks and Heat on the way to the finals.

The key men for the Celtics back in 2022 were Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum (little has changed in two years) and despite their impressive points tally in the finals, the Warriors were simply on another level with Curry, Thompson and Wiggins leading the way for the Warriors.
