WhatsApp makes it easier to transfer chat history
WhatsApp has made it easier to transfer chat histories between two devices with the help of a QR code.
Previously, users had to create a chat backup on a cloud service to later download it on the new phone. However, with the introduction of the new feature, users will get rid of that hassle and quickly access chats on a new phone.
With the help of the QR code, users will be able to transfer data between devices running on the same operating system, like Android to Android or iOS to iOS.

The process will be slightly different if the user is transferring files from Android to iOS or vice versa.
The feature will be accessible by going to Settings>Chats>Chat transfer on the old device.
WhatsApp has not yet specified the launch date for the new feature. However, it is being slowly rolled out to beta testers on both Android and iOS.
