What did Pirates’ Aroldis Chapman do to get suspended?
During their 6-3 loss to the New York Mets on Monday, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Aroldis Chapman got into an argument with the umpire Edwin Moscoso, who ejected him from the Game in the eighth inning. He’s since been fined an undisclosed amount as well as suspended for two Games for “inappropriate actions”.
Pirates manager Derek Shelton said, “He evidently said something the umpire did not like.” Chapman has the option to appeal the suspension, but if he chooses not to, the suspension would begin Friday, when the Pirates are slated to play the Boston Red Sox.
