The Dallas Cowboys are the wealthiest franchise in all of Sports, yet they are also the most frugal. As the NFL 2024 season gets closer, the Cowboys have two star offensive players entering the final year of their contracts this year and one defensive star who will be entering his final contract year next season.

It’s been the talk of the offseason, so I’m sure I don’t need to tell you, but the Cowboys have yet to come to a deal with either quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, or edge rusher Micah Parsons. Some are more urgent than others, and of course crunching numbers can be a complicated task, but...other NFL teams have seemed to manage to get deals done with their star players without too much issue. The Cowboys, on the other hand, just can’t seem to figure it out, don’t seem to be in a rush to do so, and seem content to let the pricetags go up the longer they wait.

It’s a concept that’s confusing to all of us, and that includes Parsons’ brother Terrence, who took to social media to express his confusion.

Terrence Parsons criticizes Cowboys front office

Amidst all the contract discussions, a report came out that listed the amount of money the Cowboys have spent over the last decade. ESPN analyst Marcus Spears said that the Cowboys have been known to be stingy for a while now, and a user on X posted the data, comparing it to other NFL teams.

“The Dallas Cowboys ranked 25th in cash spent from 2013-2016, 32nd from 2016-2019, and 30th from 2021-2023,” the user wrote.

Micah Parsons’ brother Terrence reacted quickly to this information. Here’s what he said:

“So, you can’t ask our best player to take less money when we just gonna sit on the money anyway make it make sense pay them what they worth if all we gonna do is depend on them to do everything.”
