Users divided as Facebook rolls out ‘annoying’ change to millions of iPhones
Facebook has rolled out a change to how its newsfeed appears on its iOS mobile app.
Users are divided over the decision to trade the visibility of certain features so that content can get more space on the screen.

The new update to the Facebook app sees the top and bottom menus disappear as soon as the user begins scrolling through their newsfeed. iPhone users with the update now need to scroll upward for the tabs to reappear.
While features are generally echoed across both iPhone and Andriod, it is unclear whether Android users are currently experiencing the same update.
Social media consultant Matt Navara flagged the change on Twitter on Tuesday, writing: “Facebook has made an interesting change to its iOS app”.
“I’ve had this for about a week! I like it a lot, gets rid of the clutter and you can really focus on the feed,” one user wrote.
But not everyone is enjoying the change.
“At first I thought it was an issue, so I kept closing out of the app, but then I realised it was their new ‘full screen’ experience... I’m so used to tapping the menu options on the bottom constantly!” one user wrote.
“Got this last week, not sure I’m a fan tbh,” another wrote.
“Super annoying having to scroll back up again a teensy bit so I can tap the icons at the bottom,” another wrote.
