Trey Lance's absurd take on Cowboys' season: What did he say?

Has everyone in the Dallas Cowboys' organization gone completely mad? Look, I realize I am a jaded fan and tend to view the team with extreme skepticism. But this season has been garbage. We can all admit that, right?

At the very least, we can see that Trey Lance is definitely delusional after recent comments he made about the team.

Not this one - this one is accurate.

Trey Lance interesting analysis on Cowboys season

Let’s review the season quickly. It’s Week 11. The Cowboys are at 3-6. Quarterback Dak Prescott is out for the season but has missed only one full game so far, their recent blowout by the Eagles last week. In every game, they’ve had costly turnovers, the defense (ranked second-worst in the league) has been unable to stop the run, they have no rushing attack (also ranked second-worst in rushing yards per game), and the offense is averaging just 19.7 points per game (23rd in the league), while giving up 28.1 points per game. In third quarters this year, the Cowboys have been outscored 82-22.

Now, Jerry Jones refusing to see problems and insisting that they don’t need to make changes, but rather the current players just need to do better because they are capable...that I can see. Jerry has been delulu for a while now. Even Mike McCarthy insisting earlier in the season that the running game just hasn’t had enough opportunities...okay. You’re wrong, but sure. Stay positive.

But at this point in the season, any optimism is likely just delusion, and especially this:

“I think in all of our losses across the board, there hasn’t been too many Games where we felt like a team was just better than us really, any Game honestly,” Lance said. “I think that with the guys we have in this locker room especially on offense, we have a lot of weapons, great coaching staff, and guys that put us in positions to be successful so for us it’s just our job to go out and execute.”

I’m sorry? No team was just better? Not any of the six teams who beat them? Not the Saints, who won 44-19 in Dallas' territory? Or the Ravens, whose running back Derrick Henry (the one Jerry passed up on for Ezekiel Elliott) had 151 yards to Elliott’s six? Not the Lions, who stomped on the Cowboys with a 47-9 final score, keeping them out of the end zone the entire game? Nor the Eagles, who did the same with a 34-6 final score at AT&T Stadium?

The Cowboys are now the only team in NFL History to trail by 20+ points in five consecutive home Games (dating back to their Wild Card loss to the Packers last postseason).

It’s time for the Cowboys' front office and apparently players too to own up to their mistakes and admit their problems so they can actually see some real change in the future.
