The Sun Sets on Another New Paltz Restaurant
There is a long-running joke that there are way too many pizza places in New Paltz but I think most would agree that Village Pizza is the one pizza place we all think of as one of the OG's.
News broke today that our beloved New Paltz pizza spot, Village Pizza in the Village of New Paltz is closing its doors. Mike Katz and the Katz Family broke the news today to the public via Facebook that Village Pizza has closed its doors for good. They signed off Love, Peace, and Bacon Grease and closed with the quote "Don't cry because it's over, Smile because it happened" - Ted G.

The past 5 1/2 years have been a wild ride, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity we’ve had to share the food we love with the community we love. It’s not easy for us to walk away — So many factors to consider, so many reasons why we will truly miss this. (Village Pizza via Facebook)
