Rodgers’ Hilarious “wee guy who never stopped talking” Post-Match Comments
Brendan Rodgers was in top form during his post-match media duties, offering a light-hearted story that showcased his famously sharp wit.
Rodgers revealed that a member of the Hearts support had unexpectedly captured his attention during the game, due to their habit during the 4-1 Hoops’ win.
Rodgers said: (The Scotsman), “There was a wee guy who never stopped talking the whole Game.
“I always enjoy coming here. It’s a great place to come and play. It’s very intense. If they want to win, absolutely. But unfortunately, so do we.”
Rodgers enjoyed the tough Tynecastle atmosphere, and whatever the Hearts fan said to the Irishman, he took it in his stride.
As an experienced manager, he is used to Traveling to away grounds and hearing supporters throughout the Game.
However, the length of time of the supporter’s talking clearly stood out to Rodgers, prompting him to highlight it to the media.
It is yet another sign that Rodgers is enjoying life back at Celtic.
For a period last season, he didn’t quite seem himself, but over the past nine months, he has steadily grown back into the role.
Battling through a tough start, he has now reached a point where he’s joking about vocal away supporters, a reflection of his renewed confidence and comfort.
Rodgers has demonstrated his commitment to Celtic and his character throughout what has been a sensational start to the season.
With Club Brugge ahead midweek in the Champions League, “Box Office” Brendan continues to thrive, quietly plodding along as he steers the team forward with poise and purpose.
