Cameron Carter-Vickers has been tremendous for Celtic since he joined under Ange Postecoglou.

Despite grappling with a nagging foot injury that sidelined him intermittently, the USA international has remained a linchpin in maintaining Celtic’s formidable defensive record.

Carter-Vickers’s impact is evident in the statistics that underscore his tenure so far at Celtic.

Since joining from Spurs, he has featured in 110 domestic matches over three and a half years, experiencing a mere four losses. Remarkably, last season witnessed no domestic defeats with him on the pitch.

His iNFLuence extends beyond mere presence, as demonstrated this season’s flawless streak: seven league Games have resulted in seven wins and just as many clean sheets. The only goal conceded with him on the field this season came in a 3-1 victory over Hibernian in the Premier Sports Cup.

Even on the European stage, Carter-Vickers has contributed to Celtic’s success, with the team securing wins against Slovan Bratislava and RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

Despite these impressive statistics, Carter-Vickers remains modest and focused on the team’s collective success rather than dwelling on personal accolades.

He said [RecordSport]: “I remember the first season I lost to Livingston away. I think that was my first loss away from home. We lost Hearts away 2-0, after we went down to 10 men. That was a bit unlucky.

“But, yeah, there’s not been many. To be honest that’s what I pride myself on – the consistency. I try to get it from myself and everyone else. That’s something I definitely care about and try to do.”

When Carl Starfelt was at the club, the pair never experienced a domestic defeat. At times last season, you wonder if Brendan Rodgers regretted letting the Swede head to Spain.

Of course, you can’t hold a player against their will, but with Celtic weak at the back last season, Starfelt’s presence could’ve been pivotal.
