Taylor Swift will drop four new songs tonight as a special surprise to mark the beginning of The Eras Tour.

Marking the news on her Instagram Stories, Taylor revealed that all of the songs have been previously unreleased…until now

Dropping at midnight tonight (or 5am GMT if you’re in the UK!), the songs will be Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version), Safe & Sound featuring Joy Williams and John Paul White (Taylor’s Version), If This Was A Movie (Taylor’s Version) and All The Girls You Loved Before.

In terms of the history of these songs – Eyes Open was a song Taylor previously recorded for the soundtrack of the first Hunger Games film, as was Safe & Sound. Safe & Sound was originally a duet with duo The Civil Wars. They have since broken up, but Taylor has got the team back together with the duo – Joy Williams and John Paul White – now being credited under their solo monikers.

If This Was A Movie is taken from the deluxe edition of Taylor’s third LP Speak Now, while All The Girls You Loved Before is a song that hasn’t been officially released before now, thought to be taken from recording sessions from Lover and produced by Joel Little (Lorde, Marina).

Taylor’s first major tour since 2017’s reputation, The Eras Tour will for the first time encompᴀss all of Taylor’s discography, from her self-тιтled debut to last year’s blockbuster Midnights.

The Eras Tour is set to kick off Stateside in Glendale, Arizona on March 17, where the city has been temporarily renamed Swift City in Tay’s honour. She’ll be supported on the opening night by Paramore and GAYLE.

As for the much-anticipated setlist of the tour, that’s yet to arrive – although some fans definitely think they’ve cracked some of the songs we can expect to be performed (Style, please!).
