Wear you like a necklace, indeed.

While Taylor Swift fans were quick to clock the “Midnights” Easter egg their idol incorporated into her Grammys 2024 red carPet outfit — a sparkling Lorraine Schwartz choker fashioned from a vintage watch that was pointedly set to 12 o’clock — another sartorial tease nearly went unnoticed.

During the ceremony, Swift revealed that her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” will be released on April 19; she followed up the announcement by sharing the LP’s track list, which includes a song titled “Clara Bow” that was presumably inspired by the silent-film starlet.

And as a fan pointed out on Twitter Tuesday, Swift may have used her Grammys look to drop a hint at her musical tribute to Bow.

The Swiftie placed a close-up shot of the songstress’ jewelry from the evening — which included several layered diamond necklaces in addition to the aforementioned timepiece — alongside a vintage photo of Bow draped in strands of pearls and a likeminded choker.

The style similarities don’t stop there. Just like the “Cruel Summer” singer, Bow favored red lipstick — always with a sharply defined Cupid’s bow — and as several fans noted on Twitter, some of Swift’s music video looks have mirrored the 1920s superstar’s.

Born in 1905 in Brooklyn, Bow skyrocketed to stardom during the silent movie era; following her breakout role in the 1927 hit “It,” she was dubbed the “It Girl” — popularizing a term that’s used to this day.

A fashion icon as well as a tabloid fixture (her love life, like Swift’s, was often fodder for gossip), Bow successfully transitioned to “talkies” as her career continued to blossom.

But the spotlight’s glare took a toll; the actress struggled with her mental Health and eventually retired from Hollywood entirely in 1933. She died of a heart attack in 1965, when she was just 60 years old.

While it remains to be seen how Bow’s life and work inspired Swift’s upcoming track, it’s a safe bet we’ll be seeing more style nods to the the silver screen star in the coming weeks.
