Sophia Bush shuts down Ashlyn Harris engagement rumors after getting handsy in PDA-packed photos

Sophia Bush isn’t walking down the aisle again just yet.

The “One Tree Hill” alum, 41, shut down engagement rumors on her Instagram Story Saturday after PDA-packed photos from her trip to Paris with girlfriend Ashlyn Harris prompted fans to speculate that they had taken their relationship to the next level.

Some believed Bush was strategically hiding bling when she rested her left hand inside the former soccer player’s jacket as they posed together in front of the Eiffel Tower.

“I hear the internet is being wild?” the actress later wrote on a selfie, which showed her flashing a peace sign to reveal her bare ring finger.

“Y’all… I have no ‘news’ for you,” she added before explaining the couple’s handsy moment.

“Wouldn’t you put your hands all up in her jacket if you could??” Bush continued.

“To be clear, you can’t because boundaries,” she joked. “But I’ll continue to do it for you because I’m just generous like that.”

She also reposted one of the photos, adding, “I just wanna squeeeeeeeeeze her.

“I get that it’s new for y’all to see me so happy and so embodied. It’s new for me too. How lucky am I?”

The “Chicago P.D.” alum expressed a similar sentiment in April as she gushed about falling in love with Harris, 38.

In an essay for Glamour, the actress admitted she didn’t intend to find love while she was still mourning her divorce from Grant Hughes, whom she was married to for only one year.

“I don’t know how else to say it other than: I didn’t see it until I saw it,” the “John Tucker Must Die” star wrote. “And I think it’s very easy not to see something that’s been in front of your face for a long time when you’d never looked at it as an option and you had never been looked at as an option.”

Bush and Harris made their red carPet debut at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner later that month in coordinating black looks from Harbison.

Harris, who filed for divorce from Ali Krieger in October 2023, has denied the infidelity accusations that came after the couple went public last year.

Page Six reported earlier this week that Krieger secretly filed for divorce three months after Harris, claiming her ex “incorrectly” filed the paperwork.

According to court documents, she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

They share two children: 3-year-old daughter Sloane and 1-year-old son Ocean, whom they welcomed via adoption.
