The world’s (and Hong Kong’s) wettest party is back! After a spectacular debut last year, S20 Hong Kong Songkran Music Festival will make a splash again in 2024. So, mark your calendar for June 8 and June 9 as the event makes a comeback at the Central Harbourfront Event Space, coinciding with the Dragon Boat Festival long weekend.

This year’s edition will have an expanded wet zone, an elevated 360-degree water-splashing experience, stage effects, and soundscapes. What a summer drenched in fun it’ll be! Early bird ticket sales will start on March 27 at 11 am. So, don’t miss the chance.

S20 Hong Kong Songkran Music Festival is back for another edition in 2024

The inaugural S20 Hong Kong Songkran Music Festival last year attracted over 23,500 participants. It took social media by storm and became one of the hottest events in the summer. So, it’s not surprising that the festival will make an explosive return against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour.

This year, the Hong Kong International Airport Authority will show its support by giving out air tickets to locals and tourists. More details about this offer will be announced later. As the event rides on the Dragon Boat Festival long weekend, it is expected that visitors from around Southeast Asia and mainland China will be in attendance.

What to expect at Hong Kong’s biggest and wettest water festival?

To enhance the experience even more, there will be an augmented wet zone area with upgraded water, stage, and sound effects. The main stage will be in sync with a Hydro Reactor to create energy through water.

The event’s signature 360-degree splashing system will also get a facelift, rendering new patterns to synchronise with different beats and rhythms from international DJs. Participants can expect a full 360-degree submersion with over 200,000 litres of water per day.

Need a break from getting wet? The Summer Beats Zone is the place for some respite. This year, there will be rap shows and dance battles. Rappers and street dancers from around the world, as well as local talents, will showcase their skills in a friendly comPetition on stage.

In addition, the popular Glam Zone and Food Village will also return. In case you want to get a retouch after getting wet, the Glam Zone is the place to be. Make sure to visit the various food booths at the Food Village. More details of the food vendors will be announced soon.

Other than the GA and VIP tickets, there will be a Royal Family VVIP package this year.
