Reo Hatate Aims Higher at Celtic
Reo Hatate has been speaking to the Japanese press about how he is aiming to do better at Celtic while on international duty.
The Celtic midfielder is eager to showcase capabilities as he continues to impress in the Scottish Premiership.
Having started the season with two goals in just four Games, Hatate’s performance is a significant part of Celtic’s perfect start, which they’ve yet to concede a goal in.
As Celtic prepares for its Champions League campaign and continues to comPete on domestic fronts, Hatate is focused on enhancing his already notable impact.
Now firmly positioned as an attacking force in the midfield, Hatate is looking to refine his skills further and maximize his contributions. Speaking to the Japanese media outlet Gekisaka, via RecordSport, Hatate expressed his aspirations to harness his unique talents more effectively.
“In that sense, I think it would be good if I could make that my strength and bring out even more of my special side.
“I don’t know if that’s playing around the penalty area. But I think it would be good to have more of that. I play in the No.8 position. Numbers are being asked of me. That’s also something that my team is working on. I don’t know if that will be my special part, but, of course, it’s important to get in front of the goal. I want to keep that in mind.”
Hatate looking to kick on this season.
Reo Hatate had a tough season last term. He initially struggled to get into the starting line up under Rodgers, and when he started breaking in, he picked up an injury, and then had no luck with his fitness until the final run in of the season.
His quality shone through after he made his injury come back at Livingston, and he’s looking like he’s continued his form into this season.
