Ravens vs Chiefs prop betting picks: Best player prop bets for TNF | Pickswise
It feels good to be back! We kick off the 2024-2025 NFL season with a replay of last year’s AFC Championship Game. The Baltimore Ravens, with newly added running back Derrick Henry, Travel to Kansas City to take on the defending Super Bowl Champion Chiefs. Last January, the Chiefs won 17-10 in Baltimore to secure their ticket to the Super Bowl. In that Game, Patrick Mahomes executed well in the short passing Game while the Ravens struggled on 3rd down and in the red zone. The big headline for this Game other than being the first Game of the season is how Derrick Henry will look in purple. Assuming he still has his legs, the Ravens offense will welcome a steady run Game to take pressure off Lamar Jackson and limit his injury potential when scrambling. Let’s dive into my favorite player prop of Ravens vs Chiefs, while you can also find out our NFL picks for EVERY Game in Week 1.

Ravens vs Chiefs player prop pick: Justin Watson (KC) over 13.5 receiving yards (-110)
Line available on Bet365 at the time of publishing.
According to the Chiefs official depth chart, Justin Watson is behind Hollywood Brown in that WR2 role. However, Brown is unlikely to play Week 1 TNF and Andy Reid is quietly pumping Watson to reporters. This came out from today’s article on a KC fan site: “Wide receiver ‘Hollywood’ Brown was injured in the preseason and will be unavailable to start the season, leaving a void in the Kansas City Chiefs offense. Head coach Andy Reid addressed Brown’s absence but suggested veteran receiver Justin Watson is more than ready to step into the role. He spoke about it during Sunday’s press conference after practice, and said: ‘Yeah, Justin’s (Watson) always kind of a big part of it, silently. He doesn’t say much, and he doesn’t get into a lot of pubs (publicity). He’s always been a pretty big part of what we do. That part won’t change. He’ll be in there running around, and even when Hollywood comes back, he’ll be in there running around. So he’s a smart, skilled kid who loves to play the game. Plays hard every snap at practice and games.’”
Watson is coming off of 17 yards per reception last season. Earlier in the year when Rashee Rice was still getting acclimated to the NFL as a rookie, Watson came out firing to the tune of 2 receptions for 45 yards, 3 receptions for 62 yards and 2 receptions for 51 yards through 3 weeks. This is a great spot for Watson as many will expect rookie wideout Xavier Worthy to have a role, but Reid brought along Rice slowly last year. Let’s expect the same for Worthy outside a few bombs to draw PI. Watson should move the chains for KC because in 2023, 43% of his receptions were on 3rd down.
