Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph has reported that Queens Park Rangers are negotiating with Liverpool for a potential loan deal for left-back Owen Beck, while Celtic are also interested in the player.

Liverpool would prefer to sell Beck but are seeking to meet their valuation of £3 million for a permanent deal, a figure that Celtic’s current offer reportedly falls short of. Beck spent last season on loan at Dundee, where his performances earned him a recall to Anfield in January. This was primarily due to a defensive injury crisis at Liverpool, allowing Beck to make appearances on the first-team bench. This meant that a January move to Celtic was off the cards and he headed back to Dundee

While several English Football League clubs have expressed interest in a loan for Beck, Celtic’s interest has been more focused on a full transfer, aligning with Liverpool’s preference to sell.

Celtic could have the upper hand here, considering Liverpool is said to prefer a permanent move, but they must up their valuation.
