Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has certainly made his mark over the years against Hibernian, notably with a double in the League Cup final in December 2021 against the Hibees.

However, last weekend, the Hoops forward suffered a setback with a recurring shoulder injury that has plagued him over the course of the last year.

He therefore misses out this afternoon against David Gray’s side.

With fellow countryman and teaMMAte Daizen Maeda leading the line, the Japanese international scored his first goal for the Hoops against Hibernian at Celtic Park in January 2022, just four minutes into his debut.

How long Kyogo will be out injured remains to be seen, with Brendan Rodgers likely to elaborate on the injury before the Game.

The Irishman was quick to ease fears of a long-term injury during his press conference on Friday.

Celtic will also have backup in the form of Adam Idah, with the Irish striker signing permanently on Wednesday after a hugely successful loan spell at the Hoops last season.

This included a double against Hibernian at Easter Road, with a stoppage-time penalty to win the Game.
