Officials Confirmed for Celtic’s Trip to Fir Park
The officials have been confirmed for Celtic’s upcoming Scottish Premiership clash against Motherwell on Sunday.
David Dickinson will take charge of the match at Fir Park, with Jonathan Bell and Steven Traynor as his assistants. Alan Muir will oversee VAR duties, supported by Gary Hilland.
Celtic will be eager to return to winning ways after a disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Aberdeen last weekend.
Despite taking the lead through Japanese duo Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate, the Dons pegged them back twice thanks to strikes from Ester Sokler and Graeme Shinnie.
The Hoops will now aim to return to form against a tough Motherwell side and maintain their recently extended six-point lead over Rangers at the table’s summit.
However, before Celtic can turn their full attention to Sunday’s match, they face a massive challenge tomorrow evening in the Champions League.
The Bhoys head to Bergamo on matchday three of the league phase, aiming to bounce back from a dismal 7-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund last time out.
Brendan Rodgers’ side will need to balance their European ambitions with being prepared for another tough test in the league on Sunday, though.
With both Games looming, Rodgers will hope for a strong showing in Europe while keeping the squad fresh for the trip to Fir Park.
