No News is Bad News: Celtic’s Monday Night Email

It’s either elation or bitter disappointment for Celtic fans tonight as the club sent out emails informing supporters whether they’ve been successful in the ballot for tickets to the League Cup final. The eagerly anticipated match will see Celtic take on Rangers in a 50/50 crowd split at Hampden Park, vying for the season’s first piece of silverware.

With the Home Cup Ticket Scheme significantly oversubscribed and Hampden’s capacity shared equally between both sets of fans, the demand has far outweighed availability. The result? Some Hoops fans are celebrating the chance to witness the final in person, while others will be left to follow the action from home or in the pub.

Ticket Details for Ballot Winners

For those who’ve struck gold in the ballot, tickets can be purchased online from 10am on Tuesday, November 19. Prices are as follows:

South Stand: £45 / £27 concessions

North Stand: £45 / £27 concessions

East Stand: £40 / £23 concessions

Fans should note a £3 discount for restricted view seats – a small consolation, perhaps, but a ticket to Hampden all the same.

Check Your Emails!

If you’ve yet to check your inbox, now’s the time. Missing out on the deadline would be a cruel twist after successfully navigating the ballot. The buzz around this final is already palpable, with Celtic fans hoping to see their team surpass both Rangers pre and post-2012 trophy haul.
