We’ve tracked the most impactful line moves of Week 8 since Monday morning at BetMGM Sportsbook to see where the big money has come in and how injuries have shaped the market.
One of the biggest moves of the week has been the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-3) going from 2.5-point favorites to 2.5-point underdogs when they host the Atlanta Falcons (4-3) Sunday. The Buccaneers will be without star WRs Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle), who lead all Tampa Bay receivers with 6 and 5 TDs, respectively.
Another huge move in the market has been the Carolina Panthers (1-6) going from 7.5- to 11-point underdogs at the Denver Broncos (4-3). The market has downgraded Carolina for going back to QB Bryce Young after QB Andy Dalton (thumb) was injured in a car accident Tuesday.
The Chicago Bears (4-2) have gone from 1.5-point underdogs to 3-point favorites in their road game against the Washington Commanders (5-2). Washington may be without its star rookie QB Jayden Daniels (rib), while Chicago is coming in riding a 3-game win/cover streak.
Other noteworthy moves have been the Miami Dolphins (2-4) going from 3- to 4.5-point favorites when they host the Arizona Cardinals (3-4), as well as the Cleveland Browns (1-6) getting upgraded from 10- to 8.5-point home underdogs against the Baltimore Ravens (5-2). Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol, while the Browns will start QB Jameis Winston under center.
The biggest shift for totals has been the Bears–CoMMAnders Over/Under going from 47 (U:-115) Monday morning down to 43.5 at press time, in part due to Daniels’ questionable tag.
