We find ourselves watching another Steelers primetime matchup against a New York opponent, but this time the Giants Travel to Pittsburgh to take on Russell Wilson and the Steelers. I was admittedly wrong for judging Tomlin’s decision to start Wilson against the Jets in primetime after Justin Fields started 4-2. Outside of a shaky first quarter, Wilson settled in and very much looked the part of a starting NFL QB. He was able to take shots down field with Pickens and had a few nice touch passes rolling out to his right that we never got to see from Fields. If this is the version of Wilson we get all season, the Steelers could be a problem come January.

As for the Giants, they’re still wrestling in mediocrity. Daniel Jones spawned hope briefly and then came rushing back to reality last week, eventually resulting in Drew Lock getting a few snaps at the end of the Game. We will see what version of Daniel Jones we get this Monday, or if Lock ends up taking over. Let’s get into my best prop bet for Monday Night Football

Daniel Jones (NYG) over 24.5 rushing yards (-120)

Jones is undoubtedlydoing everything he can to keep this starting job in New York because once he gets benched he becomes labeled as a “high end back up” for the rest of his career. The Steelers are one of my favorite defenses to target in this market, as they are bottom 10 in blitz rate, despite doing a great job generating pressure. This forces quarterbacks (especially mobile, inaccurate ones) to take off earlier than expected and there’s more defenders in coverage due to the lack of blitz. For Jones, he only has 2 scrambles this season when blitzed vs 9 scrambles when not blitzed. I’m going to ride this trend on Monday and take this short line over 24.5 as his median rush yards this season sits at 28. This is a 1 unit play from me.
