Cancelled Podcast’s Tana Mongeau worries fans with ‘heart stopping’ Instagram post.Cau
Tana Mongeau knows how to keep her fans on their toes.
The Cancelled podcast cohost shared a post earlier this week honoring her friend Imari Stuart, a fellow YouTube star. Tana shared a 20-slide post on Instagram dedicated to her close friend full of photos of the two together through the years, solo personality shots of Imari, and one photo of Imari with singer Lewis Capaldi.
Tana shared a heartfelt caption alongside the photos of her and Imari. However, many think the star should have read the caption over again because it made them do a double-take.
“My sweet @imaristuart you hung my moon. thank you for giving me life,” Tana’s caption read, “I couldnt spend one second on this planet without you, since knowing the greatness you are.
She continued: “You saved me and continue to.. forever my definition of family. i dont have everything figured out but i do know that as long as the world is spinning, its you and me til death.”
“I love you, HAPPY NATIONAL IMARI STUART DAY MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY COME SWIPE MY AMEX!!!!!!!!” she ended her caption.
Imari sweetly commented: “I love you so much this life means nothing without you.” But fans who didn’t exactly know it was Imari’s birthday had a very different reaction.
“Oh my god the first sentence made me think he died my heart stopped,” one fan wrote. Another added: “Girl i thought he died omg.”
A third commented: “Tana holy s–t I thought he died for the first half of the caption.”
Others were glad they weren’t the only ones who thought something might have happened to Imari. “I ran to the comments praying i wasnt the only one who thought this man died for a minute,” someone commented.
Another fan had a suggestion for Tana and wrote: “Tana you need to change the verb tense babe I thought I was reading a memorial post.”
Tana’s post comes after Imari shared a sweet message of his own for her on Tana’s birthday back in June. “Everyday i look at my best friend and think how did i get so lucky? there is not another person on this planet that makes me feel like home the way you do,” he captioned a photo of the two of them hugging.
“Your love is unconditional, selfless and rare to find,” he continued, “happy birthday to my god given big sister.”
