The final game of the week takes place at Fenway Park, and it’s a battle between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox won the first game of the doubleheader, but anything can happen in game 2, so let’s get into my Same Game Parlay for the action.

Yankees-Red Sox Under 9.5 (-120)

Justin Turner 3+ bases (+245)

Same Game Parlay odds:+625

Under 9.5 (-120)

The series opener finished with a softball score of 20 runs, but that was more of an outlier than a theme. Usually between these two rivals, Games are rather low scoring. That was the case in the Bronx last week as the 3-Game set between these teams finished with 14 total runs, and the first Game of the doubleheader today ended with just 8 runs, so Friday night’s Game is seeming more and more like an outlier. On the mound will be Brayan Bello for the Red Sox and Luis Severino for the Yankees, and I had this total projected for 9 runs, so there’s value in taking the under 9.5.

Neither team used many high-leverage relievers in Game one since both teams know Sunday Night Baseball is the crucial contest. In Bello’s most recent start against the Yankees, he went 7 innings and allowed just 2 runs and 3 hits in an exceptional outing. Pressure will be on him again to shut down the same offense for the second time in a row, but Bello has proven that he can live up to the challenge. In the end, this total is just a little too high for my liking, so I’m backing the under in the second Game of the day.

Justin Turner 3+ total bases (+245)

When putting together a Same Game Parlay, it’s always nice to have a leg that doesn’t necessarily go along with the rest. That drives up the payout, and that’s exactly what I’m doing with this leg. Justin Turner getting on base several times or getting an extra-base hit doesn’t go great with a low-scoring game, so we’re getting excellent odds on just a 2-leg parlay. But back to Turner – he’s the hottest hitter in Boston’s lineup. In the last 7 games, Turner has a .448 average and a .862 slugging percentage. He’s had a multi-hit game in 6 of his last 8 games, which includes 4 of the 5 games against New York in that span. So far in this series, Turner has a whopping 13 bases in just 2 games. Tonight, he will face Luis Severino, and in just 1 at-bat against him in his career, Turner is 1-for-1. There’s great value in Turner getting 3+ bases, so that’s the second and final leg of this Same Game Parlay for Sunday Night Baseball.
