Chicago Cubs -1.5 over Pittsburgh Pirates (+150)
To start off our MLB parlay, I’m going with the Chicago Cubs on the run line in this NL Central tilt. This matchup is simply a tale of two teams at the moment. On one side, the Cubs have scored 99 runs over their last 10 Games, which is good for the second most in all of baseball History during that span. Chicago has also picked up wins in 9 of those 10 contests, putting them firmly back in the NL Wild Card picture with just under a month left in the season. On the other side, the Pittsburgh Pirates have been in free-fall for some time now, and have now sunk to last place in the NL Central. Chicago’s bats should stay hot against Pirates starter Jared Jones, who is in the bottom 10 percentile among all pitchers in hard-hit rate and barrel rate (Baseball Savant). As long as Jameson Taillon doesn’t have a complete meltdown on the mound for Chicago, the Cubs should coast to another victory.
New York Yankees -1.5 over Texas Rangers (-118)
For the second leg of this MLB parlay, I’m going with the New York Yankees on the run line. New York has struggled recently against teams under .500, but the Yankees will turn to their ace on Monday to get back on track. Gerrit Cole is 5-3 this season with a 3.86 ERA, and he’s also seen success against the Rangers this season. Cole faced Texas back on August 10, striking out 10 and giving up just 1 earned run, and that’s the type of performance he should be expected to build on in this one. Conversely, the Rangers will be sending Jack Leiter to the mound, who is 0-1 this season with a 12.83 ERA. That doesn’t bode well against a lineup with hitters like Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton looming large. New York should be able to rebound against a sub-.500 team and pick up a much-needed comfortable win in the Bronx.

New York Mets ML over Boston Red Sox (-122)
To close out this MLB parlay, I’m going with the New York Mets on the money line in a massive tilt against the Boston Red Sox. For New York, Luis Severino was knocked around by the Diamondbacks in his last start, but Boston’s current offensive form is nothing like how Arizona has been hitting. Severino’s 2 prior starts were terrific, as he posted a complete-game shutout against the Marlins and followed that up with 5 innings of 1-run ball against a very good Padres team. Boston is a difficult lineup to navigate but Severino has done well against Rafael Devers in his career, and Devers is the only Boston batter with more than 4 plate appearances against him. Severino has also done well this season in terms of limiting the long ball, dropping his barrel rate from 10.4% last season to an impressive 5.8% this year. On the other side, Brayan Bello tossed 8 innings of scoreless ball against Toronto in his last start, but the Red Sox starter had really been struggling with his command for a whole month beforehand. I’ve got the Mets putting forth another solid effort in a victory at home.
