It’s the start of a new week, and that means it’s the start of plenty of new series in Major League Baseball. Along with Game 5 of the NBA Finals tonight, there are 9 MLB Games happening around the country. I analyzed the slate and have come up with a parlay from DraftKings Sportsbook that pays out at nearly 10/1 odds. Let’s get into it!

Phillies -1.5 (+110)

Red Sox ML (+114)

Rockies ML (+142)

Parlay odds: +987

Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 (+110) over San Diego Padres

Rejoice Phillies fans! Trea Turner is back! Well, reportedly back. The Phillies are expected to activate Turner off the injured list today and have him rejoin the lineup after missing about six weeks with a hamstring injury. Turner’s return comes at an important time since the Phillies just lost J.T. Realmuto a few days ago and their offense has been slacking ever since. However, with Turner back and facing Randy Vasquez tonight, the Phillies have an excellent opportunity to get back on the winning track. According to his advanced metrics, Vasquez is one of the worst pitchers in baseball. He ranks in the 1st percentile in xBA and 4th percentile in xERA which indicates he has actually been very lucky with a 4.93 ERA. I’m expecting a big win from the Phillies today, so back the run line at plus odds.

Boston Red Sox ML (+114) over Toronto Blue Jays

The AL East has been all over the place in the last month or so. The Yankees and Orioles are in a heavyweight fight for first place while the Red Sox, Blue Jays, and Rays are all fighting to stay out of 5th place. Admittedly, I expected the Red Sox to have sole possession of the basement. But the Red Sox have surprised me lately with back-to-back series wins over the Phillies and Yankees. Maybe this could be a good sign of things to come, and I’m willing to take that chance with Nick Pivetta on the mound tonight. Pivetta has been one of the more reliable pitchers in the staff this season as his fastball and curveball combination has been the key to his success. Meanwhile, Yusei Kikuchi started out hot, but he’s been struggling to miss bats recently. In his last 4 starts, the southpaw has allowed a .312 batting average and a .322 xBA.

Colorado Rockies ML (+142) over Los Angeles Dodgers

Never did I ever expect to take the Rockies to beat the Dodgers this season, but a lot has changed for Los Angeles in the last week. Mookie Betts and Yoshinobu Yamamoto were both placed on the injured list this weekend which leaves a massive hole in both their lineup and rotation. With Betts’ absence, the Dodgers are considering moving Shohei Ohtani into the leadoff spot, but that leaves the middle of the Dodgers order very vulnerable. The Los Angeles lineup will be going up against Cal Quantrill, who has turned his career around in Colorado (never been said for a pitcher before!). In 14 starts, Quantrill has a 3.30 ERA and has pitched back-to-back shutouts in his last 2 outings. As for the Rockies lineup, they will be facing the lefty James Paxton, who owns an xERA north of 5. It sounds crazy, but the logic is sound. Take the Rockies.
