She expressed her gratitude for the prayers and support from the public, which have strengthened her resolve.
She also asked everyone to continue remembering her and her children in their prayers.
Bushra further condemned those who tarnish others' reputations for personal gain, stating that wealth earned at the cost of dignity will never bring peace.
She emphasised the importance of earning money with integrity and honouring relationships.
Providing details on the court proceedings, Bushra mentioned that the Judicial Magistrate East Karachi reserved its decision on a Petition filed by the accused Dania Malik and Yasir Shami under Section 249.
The court will announce its verdict on 10 October. Bushra remains hopeful that the petition will be dismissed, allowing the trial to proceed to prove the charges against the accused through evidence and witnesses, ensuring justice for Aamir Liaquat.
Bushra Iqbal seeks justice for Aamir Liaquat as YouTuber faces arrest in video leak case
In May 2024, arrest warrants were issued for popular Pakistani YouTuber Yasir Shami in connection with the late Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s video leak case.
The development came to light after Aamir’s former wife, Dr Bushra Iqbal, took to social media, sharing copies of the non-bailable arrest warrants.
The case also implicates Aamir’s third wife, Dania Shah, with both Yasir and Dania accused of involvement in the release of the controversial videos.
Bushra Iqbal has been vocal about her pursuit of justice for her late ex-husband, urging authorities to take action against the accused.
In a social media post, she revealed that the Karachi Judicial Magistrate had issued a non-bailable warrant for Yasir’s arrest, and she expressed her hope that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would soon take him into custody.
She further reiterated her belief that Aamir Liaquat would get justice as the case progresses.
The legal battle has seen several delays, with Yasir Shami repeatedly absent from court proceedings, which ultimately led to the issuance of arrest warrants.
On Thursday, Yasir surrendered before the Karachi City Courts and was granted bail after providing a Rs2.5 million surety bond.
However, the court instructed him to appear before the FIA to submit his statement, a critical step in advancing the case.
