The Cincinnati Reds and the Miami Marlins meet Thursday in MLB action from LoanDepot Park. Here’s a Miami Marlins vs Cincinnati Reds prediction. This will be the final installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Marlins vs Reds pick.

Cincinnati Reds Betting Preview

Over the weekend the Reds took on the San Francisco Giants. Cincinnati won Saturday 6-4 but dropped the other pair in that set. In the series versus the Marlins so far, Cincinnati won the first pair, then on Wednesday the Reds took a 6-4 loss. Andrew Abbott posted 5.0 innings in the start with all six earned runs.

For the Thursday finale the Reds will send out Hunter Greene. This year Greene is 8-4 with a 2.83 ERA in 22 starts. Greene is 17-24 with a 3.99 ERA in 68 career starts.

Miami Marlins Betting Preview

Over on the Marlins’ side, they played the Atlanta Braves in their weekend set. Miami managed wins in the final two Games of that series 4-3 and 7-0. After their opener losses, on Wednesday the Marlins scored five in the first inning and held on from there. Valente Bellozo lasted 5.2 clean frames with five hits and two walks as starter.

Starter for Thursday will be the Marlins’ Kyle Tyler. This year Tyler is 0-2 with a 5.27 ERA and 22 strikeouts.

Miami Marlins vs Cincinnati Reds Prediction

I’ll stick with the Reds. Cincinnati should get a good start out of Greene, who has been cruising lately. In his last three starts Greene is 2-0 with no earned runs in 20.0 innings on five hits and five walks.

On Wednesday the Reds got off to a bad start on the mound, but the bullpen came through nicely. That group posted 3.0 innings with two hits, no walks, no earned and three strikeouts. If Cincinnati can keep the pitching going (and the bats, while we’re at it), they’ll be fine Thursday in the finale.
