Liam Payne’s pal Rogelio Nores wrote letter over singer’s ‘well-being’ two months before death.cau
Rogelio “Roger” Nores was one of the last people to see Liam Payne before his death.
Liam tragically died at 31 years old on October 16 after falling from a balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The singer was known to be part of the famous boy group One Direction along side Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan. The global boy band was formed on the popular reality television show X-Factor in 2010 by Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger.
Right before the announcement of his death, Liam posted video on snapchat with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. He was revealing to fans what he had planned during his time in Argentina and a look into where he was staying.

Many have come forward sending their condolences to his family and revealing information on Liam. According to Page Six, Rogelio was with Liam hours before his death. He told the outlet: “I am heartbroken by the loss of my friend.”
The publication obtained a letter from Rogelio that he wrote to Liam’s father and management team in August. He expressed his worries after Liam had only been clean for four months.
He wrote: “Liam stayed at my friends ranch down in Palm Beach and since the first day he arrived he was monitored and treated by professional doctors who specialize in addictions. He stayed fully clean without access to any hard drug (sic) during his whole stay. The plan was for him to work on the preparation for a music tour and stay healthy and busy with work. A plan he successfully followed during his whole stay in the US.”
Rogelio added: “Im really concerned for his well-being while he is out there and I hope you can bring professional doctors to check on his health regularly as soon as possible as I did while he was out in the US. I am going to stay fully out of the picture and disconnected from now on and I wish you all the best with Liams health and career.”
Liam’s girlfriend did not like the fact that Rogelio and Liam were so close, a friend told Page Six, and was “too involved” in their lives.
The two met at a dinner party in 2020 at the London home of former editor of British Vogue, Edward Enninfu, where they quickly became good friends. Throughout the years, the Argentinian multi-millionaire and the former One Direction singer posted pictures together and shared many memories. Rogelio tried his best to help keep Liam clean.
After Liam’s break up with Maya Henry in 2022, Liam moved close by Rogelio and others in Florida as he tried to make a fresh start after struggling with addiction. Liam suffered a few “traumatic episodes” over the past two years, according to Page Six.
When Liam went onto film his new Netflix show, Building the Band with Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland, Rogelio became worried over Liam’s health and feared he could relapse. According to the publication, Liam knew “many dealers” in the U.K., where the show was being filmed.
