LeBron James is in the midst of a crazy summer. Not only is he set to become an unrestricted free agent ahead of the biggest offseason of his life, but his eldest son, Bronny, has entered the 2024 NBA Draft.

As if all that wasn’t enough, James’ old running mate, Kyrie Irving, is currently in the NBA Finals. And James made headlines this past week for how upset he is that he no longer gets to play with a player of his caliber.

Shortly after James lamented about how much he loved playing with Irving, ESPN NBA commentator Kendrick Perkins called him out.

“Here we go again,” Perkins said. “Bron weaseling his way into somebody else’s moment. Like, let somebody else … this is not about you. Your team is at home. This is about the Mavs and the Celtics. But yet, you’re so mad and disappointed that you’re not Kyrie Irving’s running mate no more. Here we go again.”

James responded to Perkins by unfollowing him.

While that in itself wasn’t surprising, what was surprising is that James then chose to unfollow two more NBA superstars:

What did Ben Simmons and Blake Griffin do to warrant this reaction from James? It is unclear.

Clearly James is going through some stuff right now. Both in terms of his past and his future.

Where will James ultimately end up playing when the 2024-25 NBA season eventually tips off? Time will tell.
