Kentucky boy, 2, ‘locked in filthy cage’ surrounded by urine and feces as five arrested for horror abuse.cau
Police reportedly found a young child confined in a “caged area” in northern Kentucky, prompting the swift apprehension of five individuals who were charged with child abuse.
Officials of the Carrollton Police Department, in a post on Facebook, identified the suspects as Brenda Chilton, 71, of Carrollton, William Mahoney, 72, of Carrollton, Codey Johnson, 29, of Carrollton, Tammy Simmons, 52, of Carrollton, and Shelby Turocy, 28, of Ghent, Kentucky. The five persons are each charged with child abuse and wanton endangerment and are being held in the Carroll County Jail.
The shocking discovery was made after police responded to a call from a home in the 700 block of 7th Street in Carrollton Monday, following a tip claiming a child was being caged like an animal.
Law enforcement officials described the grisly scene on Facebook, explaining how a search warrant let them enter the home where they found a two-year-old boy “unclothed and locked behind a wooden and metal enclosure that was secured with a padlock.”
The youngster was surrounded by human urine and feces that were reportedly all over the room he was held in, according to court documents. The two-year-old and another child were removed from the home by family services, police said.

It comes after a Houston woman allegedly tried to sell her newborn baby through social media. Juniper Bryson, 21, has been charged with the sale or purchase of a child and is currently held on a $30,000 bond, Click2Houston.com reported.
Houston Police began investigating Bryson on Sept. 23 when they received a report she was trying to sell her baby on Facebook. Bryson reportedly reached out to a family friend on Sept. 21 asking if she knew any families looking to adopt. She told them that the baby would test positive for drugs and that she would not be able to keep him.
