Kelly Osbourne ditches her ‘iconic’ purple hair after 6 years for bold silver look: ‘Brigitte Bardot realness’
Purple is out, icy is in.
Kelly Osbourne surprised fans with a fresh hair color for spring on Thursday, posting a new Instagram photo of herself with icy silver-and-pink hair instead of her signature purple locks.
The “Osbournes” star, 39, has been rocking colorful shades of violet and lavender in a variety of lengths since 2018, but she switched things up with a gray look featuring pale pink streaks in the new pic.
Osbourne posed in a pale pink bathrobe for the shot, which was taken in her kitchen, writing, “Did you hear I have a new look?”
She also shared a photo of herself sitting in front of a hairdresser holding a curling iron on her Instagram Story Thursday as she sported the same bathrobe and shimmery pink eyeshadow.
While Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s daughter has consistently worn her hair purple after rocking a blond look in 2018, she also experimented with the shade in earlier days, notably rocking an edgy lavender mohawk with buzzed sides in 2014.
Many fans were into the new look, like one who wrote, “I love this colour on you. It looks sooooooo much better than the other.”
“Brigitte Bardot realness 😍😍😍❤❤❤” a second Instagram user commented, while another added, “Gorgeous in and out welcome to the silver club❤️🤗just beautiful on you❌👍.”
Others were sad to see her purple hair go, like a fan who wrote, “ill miss the purple. You gave me confidence to make my post chemo/rad hair that came back as grey to go purple and I love it now.”
“But purple is iconic,” another follower added.

Hair color aside, Kelly — who lost 85 pounds thanks to gastric sleeve surgery — has come under fire for her recent comments about Ozempic.
“There are a million ways to lose weight, why not do it through something [that] isn’t as boring as working out?” she told E! News at Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala in January.
The “Osbournes Podcast” star added that “the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can’t afford it.”
