The Detroit Tigers and the Kansas City Royals meet Wednesday in MLB action from Kauffman Stadium. Here’s a Kansas City Royals vs Detroit Tigers prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

The Tigers played the Arizona Diamondbacks in their weekend series. Detroit won the first pair of Games 13-0 and 8-3 but faltered on Sunday with a 6-4 loss. After an 8-3 loss to the Royals on Monday, in Game two the Tigers gave up 15 hits in a 10-3 loss. Starter Casey Mize finished with 1.2 innings, six earned, nine hits and two Ks.

In the starter role for the Tigers on Wednesday it’ll be Tarik Skubal. This year Skubal is 6-0 with a 1.80 ERA in nine starts with 66 Ks in 55.0 innings. Skubal is 29-27 with a 3.61 ERA in 84 career Games (81 starts).

Over on the Royals’ side, they took on the Oakland Athletics in their weekend series. Kansas City did well in that one with three wins 6-2, 5-3 and 8-4 for a sweep. In Tuesday’s game two matchup, the Royals scored eight runs across the first three innings alone. Alec March managed 6.0 innings, three earned, five hits and two walks as starter.

Kansas City Royals vs Detroit Tigers Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Tigers. Skubal is cruising along nicely these days. In his last three starts combined, Skubal is 2-0 with four earned runs on 14 hits and two walks in 18.1 innings total. As for Ragans, he gave up seven earned in 6.1 innings during a loss to the Angels on May 11, but came back with 7.0 clean frames against the A’s in his last start.

On Tuesday, the Tigers got into some major trouble over the first three innings but didn’t do too badly the rest of the way. The bullpen ended up surrendering four earned in 6.1 innings on six hits and a walk. Detroit should be in much better shape with Skubal if all goes well Wednesday, however.
