Around the time Love Next Door started airing in August 2024, Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min sparked fans’ excitement with their Instagram posts featuring bts moments from sets. While it’s normal for actors to promote the show and build curiosity around it, Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min’s off-the-charts chemistry was palpable to their fandom.
Hae-in also admitted that they had indeed become “very comfortable and we’re good at tiki-taka.” Talking to the Korean media outlet IS Plus (via Sportskeeda) he added that since the two only have a one-year age difference and are also playing childhood sweethearts in the story, not getting comfortable together might’ve created awkward moments.
“Neither of us is particularly outgoing, but when introverts become friends, there’s a certain vibe. It’s true that we’ve
become very comfortable with each other,” he added.

The timing of this trip, coupled with their on-screen rapport, only intensified the rumours.

During a press conference for his film Veteran 2: I, The Executioner, Jung Hae-in was directly asked about the speculations surrounding him and Jung So-min. Rather than denying the reports, the actor responded by saying, “I won’t comment since I’m worried that whatever I say might get twisted into articles.”
The Snowdrop actor also noted that he knows viewers are speculating about the actors’ relationship because their “chemistry is that good.”
A month after Jung Hae-in’s response, Jung So-min too found herself in the middle of the media glare. In a press interview, she was asked to comment on Jung Hae-in’s “no comments” response to their dating rumours. So-min agreed that she understood his stance about not commenting on the situation. “I understand why there was ‘no comment’. It makes sense to me,” she told the media.
Expressing excitement about how the two were able to hook fans with their chemistry, she added, “I was happy that people saw our chemistry as being better than I expected.”
Dating or not dating, their playful bond off-screen is really delightful to witness!
