Julia Roberts’ Lasting Love With Danny Moder Is a ‘Dream Come True’: ‘That’s The Best Stuff’
Forever dance partners! Julia Roberts shared a sweet anecdote about husband Danny Moder while inducting the Dave Matthews Band into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland on October 19. “The first time I ever danced with my husband was almost 25 years ago to a Dave Matthews Band song,” the actress, 57, revealed. “That was a winning combination, as I have been swooning over my husband and this band ever since.”
Julia first met the cameraman, 55, on the set of her 2001 film, The Mexican. At the time, she was dating Benjamin Bratt and Danny was married to makeup artist Vera Steimberg.
“[Danny] sorted his whole thing out, separate and apart from me. And I sorted my life out, separate and apart from him,” Julia insists. “I think that’s the only reason we were able to ultimately fall in love with each other and be together.”
The couple went on to wed in 2002 at her Taos, New Mexico, ranch and welcome three children, son Henry, 17, and 19-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus. “[Acting] is not my only dream come true,” Julia notes. “The life that I have built with my husband [and] the life that we’ve built with our children, that’s the best stuff.”
