Bachelor Nation’s Blake Horstmann Engaged to Love Is Blind’s Giannina Gibelli After 2 Years of Dating

Bachelor Nation alum Blake Horstmann and Love Is Blind star Giannina Gibelli are engaged after more than two years of dating.

“I had been looking for the perfect ring for over a year,” Blake, 35, told People while discussing their engagement in a story published on Wednesday, November 20. “I had an idea of what she wanted — cut, clarity, etc. — but I didn’t want to go and pick out a ring with her. I really wanted the ring to be a complete surprise.”

The former Bachelorette contestant popped the question in Parque del Retiro in Madrid, Spain, on October 30. He picked out a 4.87-carat oval lab-grown diamond ring by Brilliant Earth, which features an 18-karat yellow gold “Luxe Versailles” shank that is detailed with small diamonds.

Giannina, 31, was so excited about the proposal that she “said ‘yes’ before [Blake] could open the box to show her the ring.” Blake added that she was “breathless and so happy” when she saw the ring, which made him feel “really amazing.”

“We are over the moon and we can’t wait to be married in front of our loved ones,” he told the outlet.

Meanwhile, Giannina said that being engaged to Blake is “the best feeling in the world.”

“Our love story has been everything I’ve always dreamt it would be and more,” the former Netflix star said. “As soon as I met Blake, I knew he was my soulmate and I know the universe was always leading me to him. Being together forever and creating our family is literally the joy of my life.”

After they both appeared on reality TV shows to find love, Blake and Giannina began their own love story when they met on set of All Star Shore and confirmed their romance in 2022.

“It’s been awesome. It’s been amazing, honestly, it’s been incredible,” Blake told Us Weekly about their relationship in October 2022. “It’s been incredible. I cannot believe the support from Bachelor Nation and the Love Is Blind [area], the Netflix side of things. It’s been amazing. Last year’s been pretty magical, so can’t complain over here.”

The couple took a major step in their relationship when they welcomed baby No. 1, son Heath Orion Horstmann, in March.

While they were overjoyed to become parents, Blake and Giannina previously told People in November 2023 that “no one was expecting” their pregnancy. “There was a lot of screaming, happy tears and jumping around,” she added at the time. “I think our friends’ jaws are still on the ground. Our baby is so loved already.”

Nearly five months after confirming that they were expecting their first child together, the couple announced they became parents in March.
