Winter 2014: Matching on Tinder
Jason and Kylie met on the dating app Tinder back in 2014.
Kylie said in the Amazon Prime documentary “Kelce,” that Jason looked “kind of familiar” when they matched, but she didn’t know he was an athlete because he didn’t include any Football photos on his profile.
Kylie admitted that a few of her friends helped her do some investigating and discovered he played for the Eagles.
“Right away when she walks in the door, the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen,” Jason said in the documentary of their first date at Buffalo Billiards in Philadelphia.
He added that it was “very much like love at first sight.”
However, 45 minutes into their date, Jason drank too much and fell asleep.
“[I] definitely fell asleep,” he shared on a September 2023 episode of his “New Heights” podcast. “Got a little too inebriated, but I was sober enough to know it was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. It was love at first sight … I didn’t [believe in it] until I met you and it was like fireworks exploded at the door the moment she walked into Buffalo Billiards.”
Thankfully, Kylie let him redo the date the following day, and they’ve been together ever since.
November 2015: Making it Instagram-official
Kylie Kelce posted her first Instagram photo with Jason on Nov. 11, 2015. Kylie shared a black-and-white picture of the two of them smiling and sitting close to each other.
“Thank goodness you swiped right too. ☺️,” she captioned the sweet snap.
Over the next few years, Kylie continued sharing snaps of the couple including a Hawaiian vacation, getting cuddly on the beach, standing on the sidelines and gushing about him on his birthdays and #ManCrushMonday.
Summer 2017: Jason proposes to Kylie
Kylie Kelce debuted her engagement ring in August 2017, but it’s unclear exactly when Jason popped the question. Kylie showed off the sparkler in an Instagram post posing with Jason before a game at Lincoln Financial Field.
“I’m the luckiest girl in the world 😍,” she captioned the photo.
Jason and Kylie later talked about how he proposed on an episode of “New Heights.”
“Let’s be abundantly clear. When he asked me to marry him, he prefaced it, and he said, ‘This isn’t the most romantic way to do this,’ and I immediately started crying, because I knew what was happening only because he referenced being romantic. That’s how infrequently he is romantic,” Kylie shared.
Jason added that they were about to leave her parents’ house when he had to find an excuse to go back in and ask for her family’s blessing.
“I couldn’t figure out how to inconspicuously go back into the house…So when we got in the car I said ‘Ky, I’m sorry, I have to take a s–t right now,'” he recalled.
Jason returned just a few minutes later, and Kylie joked that she knew something was off because it normally takes him more like twenty minutes.
“And then he said, ‘This is not the most romantic way to do this, but can you get out of the truck?’ So sweet,” she said while laughing.
February 2018: Supporting Jason at the Super Bowl
Jason helped lead the Eagles to victory against the New England Patriots on Feb. 4, 2018, and Kylie showed up in full force to support her then-fiancé.
Kylie shared a photo the next day of Jason wearing his uniform and smiling while she proudly beamed next to him on the field after the win.
“The Eagles are Super Bowl Champs and this stud was at the center of it all 😏… 🦅🏈🏆💚, ” she wrote.
She attended the Super Bowl parade a few days later and posted a picture of the couple sharing a kiss.
April 14, 2018: Kylie and Jason get married
Kylie and Jason tied the knot at the Logan Hotel in Philadelphia on April 14, 2018.
Kylie had four bridesmaids while Jason just had his brother, famed tight end Travis Kelce, standing besides him.
Kylie honored their first anniversary with new pictures from the big day.
“One year ago today we stood in front of our closest friends and family and vowed our love and commitment to each other. I am so beyond grateful that I get to share my life with this man. Happy one year J!” she wrote on April 14, 2019.
Kylie celebrated their second wedding anniversary by sharing a video of the officiant telling their guests to “shut the f–k up” if anyone thinks they shouldn’t get married.
October 2019 – February 2023: Having children
Jason and Kylie became parents when Kylie gave birth to their first child together, a girl named Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce on Oct. 2, 2019.
Jason announced the birth by posting a picture of the newborn holding up a peace sign while lying on her mom’s chest.
“Chunked up the Deuces on her way out. Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce 10/2/2019,” he wrote.
The couple welcomed their second child, a girl named Elliotte Ray Kelce, on March 3, 2021.
The family of four would frequently Travel with their dad or visit him at practice, but Kylie took things to a new level when she was nine months pregnant with their third child and watched Jason face off against Travis at the famous “Kelce Bowl” in February 2023.
Kylie even brought along her OB-GYN in case she went into labor, but she was luckily able to hold off for her brother-in-law to win his second Super Bowl.
Kylie gave birth to their third daughter, Bennett Llewellyn Kelce, on Feb. 23, 2023.
March 2024: Jason emotionally talks about Kylie while retiring from the NFL
Jason retired from his professional football career with the Philadelphia Eagles on March 4, 2024, and Kylie sat in the front row supporting her husband through his emotional speech.
Jason thanked a slew of important people of his life but got especially choked up while reflecting on his first date with Kylie.
“I won’t forget the Eagles’ Christmas party in 2014 and heading out afterwards with a bunch of my teaMMAtes to Buffalo Billiards where my life would change forever. That night, I’d meet my future wife. I still remember the moment she walked through the door,” he said through tears.
Jason recalled chatting with her and thinking, “‘Man, is this what love feels like?’”
“I think it’s no coincidence that I have enjoyed my best years of my career with Kylie by my side. Every accolade I have ever received has come with her in my life. She has brought the best out of me through love, devotion, support, honesty, intelligence, and of course, a swift kick in the ass from time to time,” he continued.
May 2024: Kylie and Jason defend each other
Shortly after Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker made a controversial commencement speech about how a woman’s role should be in the house, Jason clapped back at a hater who wrote via X that Kylie is a “homemaker whose home is a mess.”
“I don’t think of Kylie as a homemaker, I think of her as my wife. I think of her as a mother. She has an occupation, as do I, and we keep our house the best we can. Our marriage is a partnership, we are equals who are figuring it out on the daily. The only expectation is that we love each other, support one another, and are committed to our family, that comes first,” he wrote via X on May 27, 2024.
Jason explained that they “both raise our kids,” they “both work” and they “both keep our home.”
“It is both our faults it is messy, but such is life with 3 young children, busy schedules, and neither of us being neat freaks. She also makes a mean sandwhich [sic]. If being a homemaker, works for some, and that’s what they want, then hell yea, that’s awesome, more power to you. I want to be clear, I’m not downplaying that at all, but that is not our family dynamic,” he concluded.
That same month, Jason raved about their “fun” Memorial Day Weekend in Sea Isle, NJ, after Kylie got into a heated altercation with an upset fan.
“We went to the beach, had a lot of fun with the girls, ate a lot of beach food,” Jason said on the “New Heights” podcast on May 29. “The shore was fun. It was good to be out there.
Jason didn’t address a viral video of Kylie getting into an argument with a fan after she “politely” declined to take a photo.
