He was terrified from the moment that he stepped in the door, scoring nine crucial goals, one of which came in the Scottish Cup final, to win the match right at the death.

Speaking to CeltsAreHere, Idah reflected on the memorable pre-Game send-off by Celtic fans before the 3-3 draw at Ibrox, where he scored after coming off the bench.

Idah was visibly impressed by the fan turnout and support, describing it as unlike anything he had experienced before.

And while we as Celtic fans are used to supporting our club like this, it’s not something that happens at many other clubs.

Adam Idah told CeltsAreHere: “The fans are huge, they’re the best fans I’ve ever seen in my career. There are not many clubs that would do that. People here might think it’s normal, but it’s not.

“The connection that they have with the players, the support they show, they turn up in big numbers and you’re not going to get that at many clubs.

“It was a factor coming back, having got that connection with the fans, they’ve been brilliant. I want to carry on doing my best for them.”

He had a hard time with Norwich fans, especially towards the end of his time at the club, but up here at Celtic he’s been well-received.
