After dealing with some injuries to start his career in the 2022 NFL season, Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams had a breakout season in 2023, finishing with 228 carries for 1,144 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns, plus 32 receptions for 206 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns in 11 starts and 12 games.

In the 2024 season, Williams has been building on that success. He‘s currently tied for fourth in the league with 161 carries for 602 yards and third in the league with eight touchdowns. On top of that, he’s got 20 receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns through eight Games.

Kyren Williams contract details

In June 2022, Williams signed a four-year rookie contract with the Rams for $3,970,404 including a signing bonus of $310,404, with $310,404 guaranteed.

That brings his average annual salary to $992,601. His base salary in 2024 is $985,000. This contract will be up at the end of the 2025 season. In 2026, the Rams will need to decide if they want to give him an extension. If they decide not to, Williams will have no shortage of suitors.

How much he‘ll earn on a new contract, while certainly much more than he‘s currently seeing on his rookie one, will depend on how the rest of this season and next season go. If he continues to put up the numbers he‘s putting up now in both rushing and receiving, he could be on track to become the next Christian McCaffrey, who is currently the league’ highest-paid running back.
