iPhone 16 Pro and Max: Four new titanium colours to choose from
Apple has unveiled the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, available in four striking colours: black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium, which initially appears brown.
Desert titanium was a standout on the demonstration floor at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, likely due to its luxurious appearance. From a distance, it has brown or gold hues, highlighted by a goldish border around the chassis.
The iPhone 16 Pro models feature Grade 5 titanium, known for its impressive strength-to-weight ratio, with a new microblasted finish. This design makes the phones incredibly durable yet lightweight.
Largest ever display
In terms of display, the iPhone 16 Pro Max boasts the largest ever screens in an iPhone. The 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR displays feature new Technology that routes display data under active pixels, creating thinner bezels and enhancing the handheld experience.
Smart audio system
The audio system has also seen significant upgrades. The new phones capture only the voices of people on camera, filtering out off-camera sounds during recordings. Four studio-quality microphones deliver higher-quality audio with reduced noise for more accurate sound. Additionally, the new Spatial Audio capture makes video sound more immersive when paired with AirPods, and wind noise reduction further improves audio clarity.
Faster neural engine
Powered by the A18 Pro chip, the new iPhones introduce faster Apple Intelligence with a speedier Neural Engine, improved CPU and GPU, and enhanced memory bandwidth. This chip powers advanced photo and video features, including Camera Control, and delivers the best-ever graphics performance for AAA gaming.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max begin today, September 13, with availability starting on Friday, September 20.
