An Iowa State cheerleader’s wild photos went viral this week as the Cyclones continued to march through the NCAA Tournament.

Heading into Saturday, nobody much expected Washington State to upset T.J. Otzelberger’s squad. The talent disparity between the two sides was just too vast.

That said, at halftime the score was tied.

In the second half, though – the Cyclones showed their mettle. Not only did they outscore the opposition by 13 points, but they also displayed the sort of lockdown defense this group is capable of playing when they truly focus.

In addition to an impressive showing on the court, Iowa State also found itself trending when one of the team’s cheerleaders saw her wild photos go viral on social media:

This of course comes on the heels of a Michigan State cheerleader’s wild photos leaking out less than 24 hours prior.

Big picture, Iowa State is talented enough to advance deep in the NCAA Tournament.

But they can’t get sloppy like they did against Washington State.

“I think our guys are a very together and poised group,” Otzelberger said after the game.

“We know we’re going to have adversity, and credit Washington State for doing a great job putting us on our heels. But credit to our guys for not panicking, not getting too low or emotional, and staying the course, waiting for it to come back around to us.”

Will Iowa State be able to go on an epic March Madness run and truly give the team’s cheerleaders something to get hyped about going forward? Time will tell.
