Iconic rockers Black Sabbath launch new Aston Villa jersey
Lifelong Aston Villa fans and Black Sabbath members Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler are the star turns for the club’s promotional video to launch their new season home jersey as part of their new kit supplier deal with Adidas.
The veteran rockers have often displayed their support for the Villa Park outfit and feature in the short clip along with the likes of goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and club manager Unai Emery with Sabbath’s iconic ‘Paranoid’ used as the musical bed for the clip.
Aston Villa will wear their new 150th year anniversary jersey as part of the imminent 24-25 Premier League campaign and also in their Champions League adventure after the Basque coach steered the Villains to a highly creditable fourth place last season with the 1982 European Cup winners participating in UEFA’s top club comPetition for the first time since the inception of the new Champions League format.
A post on social media late on Tuesday evening from the club claimed that first day demand of the anniversary jersey had pulverized previous records for previous launch day jersey sales.
